Dear Artist,
We would like to invite you to join us for our annual ‘Outpost Festival of Arts’ celebration.
This year we are bringing together the best elements of the art world. The main attraction is the Forte Gallery juried Fine Art Fair, the perfect venue for you to showcase your art to wide and receptive audience. In addition, we will feature an eclectic blend of performing and culinary arts - fine music and food representing the very best that the area has to offer.
Our event is held each year to coincide with the Door County Pumpkin Patch Festival. This year we are running a two-day event on the weekend of 10/11 October 2009. This is an extremely busy weekend for Door County and has always proven to be one of the busiest retail weekends of the year.
We are located outdoors at the Door County Outpost, over 10 acres of space and the perfect venue for visibility - all traffic heading to Egg Harbor and northern Door County will have full view of the Art Fair/Festival and easy access to the grounds.
Time is running out and space is limited! Please check your calendar and join us, we are accepting applications from artists and vendors through the first week in October.

For accommodation we recommend that you try Sturgeon Bay, just 25 minutes south from our location, or Green Bay, around 70 minutes from us. You may also find rooms available in Northern Door County - Egg Harbor, Fish Creek, Ephraim, Sister Bay, Ellison Bay, Gills Rock, Baileys Harbor, Jacksonport.

Juried Fine Art Fair Application
PLEASE READ THE TERMS OF THIS APPLICATION CAREFULLY.
Applicant and Forté Gallery Fine Art Fair FGFAF (FGFAF are the organizers) agree to the following terms and conditions:
SUBMISSIONS: FGFAF is a juried Fair. All applicants shall submit photographic representations of each kind of craft or art that the applicant intends to feature along with a signed application and payment of fees.
Photographs shall be submitted electronically via email, on a formatted computer disc or as conventional color photographs sent via mail. There shall be no fewer than 3 images and no greater than 5 images, each having a maximum file size of 1MB if sent by email, or 5MB if sent on a computer disc. The photographs or computer images must be of sufficient quality for the jury to evaluate the art or craft represented and must be an accurate representation of the artists work. Acceptable file formats are PDF / GIF / JPEG / TIFF
Photographic submissions and discs will not be returned to applicant. Applications without receipt of work sample submissions within the deadline below may be disregarded.
JURY: The jury shall be comprised of owners of The Forte Gallery and qualified representatives of the gallery.
PAYMENT: $105.00/booth space (flat fee) and $10 non-refundable Jury fee. Applicant shall submit two checks or money orders payable to Forte Gallery along with application. The $10 Jury fee check will be cashed on receipt, the $105.00 booth fee shall be held until jury accepts the applicant. Booth fee checks shall be returned to the applicants that are not accepted. All but $25.00 of applicant's booth fee shall be returned to applicants that have been accepted but provide notice that they will not attend within one week of the notice of acceptance.
BOOTH SPACE: Space provided shall be minimum 12' wide and 10' deep. All of applicant's tents, booths or displays must fit within the space provided. Applicant shall provide their own booth, tent or other structure. Such structure shall be anchored sufficiently to withstand strong winds. The specific space provided shall be assigned by the jury.
ELECTRICITY: 110 v 15 Amp electrical service shall be available without charge to artists who have requested this specifically on the application.
OPERATION TERMS: Each accepted applicant shall comply with all federal, state and local laws. Applicant shall pay all federal, state and local taxes applicable to the sales or services provided by applicant. Each applicant must have a Wisconsin State Tax Number or WI State Sales Permit. Applicant shall maintain its booth, and the space around its booth, in a clean and sanitary manner. All garbage and debris shall be placed in
Appropriate waste receptacles. No pets allowed on-site. Applicant shall do nothing to disrupt the operation of FGFAF or any other applicant. All products sold by applicant shall be handcrafted by the applicant.
Applicant shall not sell or display any kind or category of art or craft not approved by the jury without prior written permission.
Under no circumstances shall the applicant commence removal of inventory or dismantling of booth/display outside of the permitted hours. Applicants who leave the Fair early cause disruption to surrounding attendees and in doing so signify to the public that the Fair may be ending early. This is not permitted without prior consultation and agreement with FGFAF staff.
ASSIGNMENT: Applicant shall occupy the booth area assigned by the jury, and shall not sell or otherwise assign any of its rights under this agreement.
HOURS OF OPERATION: Saturday 11th October (10 a.m. - 5 p.m.); Sunday 12th October (10 a.m. - 5 p.m.).
Arrival and setup is permissible from 6 PM on Friday 10th October, applicant assumes all risk for items left overnight.
All vehicles must be removed from the lawn areas and grounds by 9.15 am on Saturday and Sunday 11/12 October. Vehicular access to the lawn areas and grounds is permissible only after 5.15pm on Saturday and Sunday 11/12.
PARKING - A designated parking area for artists will be provided and marked on the Art Fair map. Artists/applicants may not use public parking areas during Fair hours.
SECURITY: FGFAF is not responsible for the safety or security of applicant or applicant's property at any time during setup or Fair hours.
HOLD HARMLESS: Applicant hereby agrees to release, indemnify, defend and hold harmless FGFAF and The Door County Outpost and their agents, employees and members from any claim for loss or damage of any kind.
TERMINATION: FGFAF reserve the right to terminate applicant's rights under this agreement with or without cause. Termination based on breach of any of the above terms of this agreement will result in applicant forfeiting application fees. Termination mid-show, without cause, will result in a return of a prorated amount of applicant's application fee.
ENFORCEMENT: FGFAF failure or delay to enforce any of the above terms shall not be a waiver of any of its rights or causes of action. Applicant agrees that in the event of any dispute arising under this agreement, legal action shall be brought in the State of Wisconsin Court System.
